Do we exist in a world of matter only or is there more to it? We have been taught by science that we are made from “star stuff” that all originated from the Big Bang. In contrast to this theory we have also been taught that a supreme God created this world and a grand drama has unfolded even since. Which theory is correct? Of course there are derivative theories (i.e. we are brains in vats or were seeded by alien beings) but it all stems from the two contrasting positions.
This is the reason why the Flat Earth is so important. If we discover that we are not on a spinning ball, travelling through space at astronomical speeds and instead on a stationary plane with the heavens rotating above us, then everything changes.
If we are on a stationary plane, then one has to ask why the deception? Who benefits?
